just why the hell is it increasing so much
well i heard a theory that councils tend over estimate their budgets, then put up council tax, then they have a surplus, so instead of saying oh we'll keep some in reserve, they increased spending, and then next year the cycle repeats over

I reckon a local sales tax would be fairer and better than a progressive council tax.
