hey all, why is it i cant call my mate on her mobile in france? is there a special code to put in? cos she has credit

    Try dialing the number but replacing the 0 at the start of her number with +33 - That's the international dialing code for France.

    Failing that, ring up your network people.

    you don't need the international code for france if you're ringing a british mobile - it's still the UK code.

    but not all mobiles work abroad. you have to ring up the network and ask.

    Yeah, as has already been said, most mobiles don't automatically come with roaming capabilities. So if she didn't go to a phone shop and get it sorted so she could make/receive calls abroad, maybe she just can't.

    Because yeah, there's no code if it's a British mobile abroad.
