I suffer quite badly from it and now the weather is getting hotter I wanna be outside sat in the sun, plus I'm going to spain for a week. Does anyone know of anything I can take/do to prevent it or ease it if I get it. Would a higher dose of my hayfever tablets work?

Antihistamines won't help because it's not an allergic reaction, it's caused by blockage of the sweat glands. There are no guaranteed treatments for prickly heat. Anything that reduces sweating is likely to help, as is anything that removes the blockage of the sweat glands. Bathing the affected area with hot water may help to unblock the sweat glands, whereas cool water and a cool environment will help the itch and hopefully shorten the duration of symptoms.
