    Gag! I'm sure I wouldnt write something so sappy to anyone I knew if they had just had a baby.

    Maybe just something along the lines of congratulations, I hope you will be very happy with your new addition...add something about maybe looking after it when its a bit older....make a small joke about puke...and your done.

    When my brothers wife got pregnant I phoned him up and said well done, to which he replied;

    "Oh, it was nothing really, its not very hard."

    It's when you say well done to new fathers whose wives have just gone through a 2 day labour and are feeding the baby every two hours and they say the same thing tht makes me laugh!

    i have found that if you go to the store there are hundreds of cards for practily any occasion with the messages already written in them. all you do is sign your name and stick it in the enevelope. good as gold right there :yes:
