Injections??

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
I just got two different injections yesterday.

One is for mennigitis and forget what the other is for.
Though today my arm is quite red and itchy and sore to touch - Is this normal or should I get it checked out -

Had many jabs before and I've never reacted like this before.

Advice would be great ~

Thanks ~ XxX

It's normal to suffer some side-effects in the first 48 hours. My meningitis C jab was horrible and itchy but I don't usually react to injections either. My advice would be to phone NHS direct if you're really worried right now (0845 46 47) or to wait and see if it calms down by tomorrow and if not, see your GP.

I seem to remember being told that the main worry is if you get flu-like symptoms that develop within the first 48 hours, and continue.

    Hope that helps.
