any ideas on how to get rid of the pain?

apparently your body can only cope with ONE serious pain ...i heard that when i was about 12. at seventeen with a raging tooth ache for the enth night running ...it came back to me ...the human body can only deal with one major pain at a time......
out came a three bar electric fire ...all three bars on and shirt off.
i sat as close as i could for moments as long as i could ...the toothache started to go ...finaly it dissapeared all together!
i couldn't sleep for the blisters on my back ...the pain! i want my toothache back!.
i had to go to A and E the next day ...got rid of the toothache for about a week while the blisters healed ...
BUT THEY'RE SCARY IN THERE!

but i COULD hit my head gainst a door! yay!
wow thats weird. maybe thats something to do with why a hot water bottle or heat from a fire eases period pain..
thats a true story and despite how dumb it makes me look ...
there is an element of truth in causing pain ...to remove another one ...
