Also, www.sparknotes.com for lots of literature criticism, and www.pinkmonkey.com is a similar thing.
For languages, I visited websites of foreign newspapers eg.
Italian - www.repubblica.it
Spanish - www.elmundo.es
German - www.diezeit.de (I think that's it, or Google 'Die Zeit Zeitung'
And also for classics you can find translations of key texts at www.perseus.tufts.edu (not perseus.com - I've been corrected by LSS who told me about this site in the first place...)
I'm not sure about any other subject areas really!
It's http://www.perseus.tufts.edu actually *puts on Geeky Classics Student hat* but yes that's the most useful site in the world for us Classicists, it has practically everything you could ever want. Not that there are many Classicists on here, though.
For AS levels, AS Guru from BBC is ok, although it has a limited range of subjects. I haven't found any good A-level revision sites yet - I especially need one for Geography!
