Does anyone know..

If I can buy a hearing aid, without a prescription? If so, where from and how much are they likely to be?

I also want to buy a blood pressure monitor, the new wrist kind.

They are not actually for me, they are for a friend of mine who is travelling to Northern Iraq and wants to buy those things here and take them over, as medical supplies are difficult to get there.

    I think you can just get them over the counter (so to speak) in chemists.

    my mum got one of those blood pressure machines out of lidls. it works a treat. its called tronic, you could try lookin it up on the net

    i think you can buy them from hospitals (hearing aids) cos the doctor told me if i ever lose mine it'l cost me £10 for a new one,
    yes :blush: i wear a hearing aid, but u can hardly see it its a new digital one :D

    The wrist ones are not entirely accurate and are rone to giving false readings. Best to try and get hold of one that is placed on the arm.
