it may or may not be too late for this, but the best way to get out of a rut is to never let yourself fall into it.

instead of thinking 'i'm getting worse again, i won't be able to cope', think 'things might get tough for a while, but i coped with it once and i can cope with it again'.

    aw, *big hugs* my dear

You sound like you're going through a hard time right now and are very scared about the future, but Kaffrin's right, you are strong enough to get through this. There are people you can talk to who will be able to help you. The Self Harm Alliancen are a specialist organisation who give practical information for self harmers and the family and friends of people who self harm. The helpline offers emotional support and is open: Tuesday 6-7pm; Thursday 11am-1pm; and Sunday 6-7pm.
    Helpline: 01242 578820; www.selfharmalliance.org

Most of all, enlist the help and friends and family - they can be a huge support at times like this - the fact that you've come on here and started to seek ehlp is a great first step!

    Take care
