Helping my mum

Ok just got my mum up & running on the internet & she would like to find a decent chat site, aimed at people more her own age (late fourties).
Does anyone know of any or discussion boards or similar?

Anything else which might interest her would be good too. Shes new to a computer.

Please gimme some links i can check out for her.

    I'm really not sure. You might wanna do a search in Google and look for stuff she is interested in and then check out the websites because some may have messages boards.

    Heya tweets, a lot of adults are really into the boards at friends reunited/genes connected. Also, there are a host of adult based room on most of the IRC networks. Installing IRC might be an idea. Else, google it :D

    Thats the problem though, i can't really type in "Adult chat rooms" as we all know the type of rooms that will come up & i don't fancy introducing my mum to porn lol. I'm sure she will come across it herself lol.

    I know in the past i have come across places with all different rooms for different interests, can't seem to find them now. grr

    Editted to ask, what are her hobbies? anything she is interested in??

    Hehe its ok, as stated in first post :P late fourties, i think shes 48. She likes gardening but she doesn't want to JUST talk about that. She just wants to get chatting to people i think.

    Hmm, might be an idea to look into MSN Groups, or Yahoo Groups, both have a huge variety of things to talk about. Else, google for things of interest to her :D Hope that helps
