I've said it before and I'll say it again - stoner. :p

But seriously, you've got a point, where would we be without music. It's one of the biggest industries economically speaking, great for the social sides of things and, well, some form will suit just about every scenario going.

    Gotta love music. :thumb:

There are many people who just don't like music. Never met one though.

I disagree, within our culture anyway.

I think it'd be very hard to find a soul out there who doesn't listen to or enjoy music in some way shape or form, it's that wide and vast..

My mum doesnt actively dislike music, but she very rarely listens to any, I dont think she really owns any music at all now I come to think of it.

Although she does go to church most Sundays and sings songs there.

One good thing about music, when it hits, you feel no pain

'If it looks good, you'll see it.
If it sounds good, you'll hear it.
If it's marketed right, you'll buy it.
    But...if it's real, you'll feel it'

My mum's like that too, it's utterly baffling! Even in the car she'll happily drive in silence. My sister used to be like that too but she's been coming round in recent years.

neither of my parents listen to music. they don't even own a stereo.

there's a radio in the kitchen, but it's always tuned to a 'talky' station.

If I wouldn't have my music or any music, for that matter, country and ska , I just don't know what I would do with myself.

Music is a great thing, in some ways, because, with some of the music, I listen to, it is very relaxing and really relaxes me when I'm stressed out or whatever.

So yeah, think that music is a good thing and such.

But still, even if she doesn't actively listen to the radio or CD's or anything, if she goes to church once a week and partakes in musical activity, she's still getting some form of entertainment out of it so she's still a 'consumer' of music. :p

No of course, I did qualify my statement.

However she would very rarely if ever listen to music if she was in the car or at home. She would listen to Radio Four or a tape of spoken word.

My brother has absolutely no interest in music

Rainbow Bright; Thats quite interesting, although some deaf people still enjoy music, I was at a club, ages ago now and there were some deaf people there. they mouthed to me that they liked the vibrations. I think they may have been taking drugs too.

I think probably they were on drugs. I cant imagine anyone going to a club for the vibrations - maybe just the general atmosphere, but not for the thumping bass which i imaggine would be extremely weird if you couldnt hear the music to go wtih it.

I dont know, they were nodding their heads and sitting right next to the speakers and they seemed to be enjoying themselves.

I dont think they were on drugs the whole time, because they seemed to get a lot happier later in the evening.

But, well, they werent bothering anyone and they seemed to be having a good time so I didnt care.
