quick quick phone help

I was playing with my friends phone, its a motorola v66 and i took that little piece on the cover off and now all the screan says is "insert sim" but i didn't take anything out or move anything. how can i fix it... shes going to be sooo angry

    Just tell her exactly what you did. She should know how to sort it out, or be able to look in the manual. Or you could visit Motorola's website, and see if they do a downloadable version of the manual that you could read, and maybe sort it out.

    Take the battery off, take out the little chip (it's about 2cmx1cm), put it back in, put the battery on and restart it. Voila.

    Sometimes phones just do this.
