I came on my period last night and im goin to see the nurse today or tomorrow to get a new pill of somesort. Does it matter how far in on ur period u are to when you start the mini-pill? or is it just anyday of your period? x

    I really wouldn't take the pill, it messes up your periods and cycles soooo much. It can have such an adverse affect on your body/future fertility.

    Discuss all options with your nurse.

    You are meant to start the pill on day 1 of your period.

    the pill actually has more benefits than drawbacks.

    i don't know much about the mini-pill, but the combined pill can keep your fertility 'safe' till you need it, can reduce your risk of osteoporosis, certain cancers and other gynaecological diseases.

    the only big risks are blood clots and a minutely increased risk of breast cancer (i think), which in someone of tink's age are very low risk anyway.

    i've been on the pill for nearly 7 years and it's been an absolute godsend. it's not for everyone, but you're not the person to make that decision.

    I would imagine you'll be told to wait until the first day of your next period, that's what I was told to do. But your nurse should tell you tomorrow anyway.

    i managed to get to the nurse's the day i posted this, so started takin it, tis god so far. (im on the mini-pill btw) x
