Farewell from Alice M <3

Hi Folks,

With a very heavy heart, I wanted to let you know that I will be leaving MHI :(

I know there's been a lot of change recently, so very sorry to add to this! I've been with the organisation for almost a decade, first as a regular support mod and then later more behind-the-scenes as a supervisor (I joined when it was called "YouthNet" even before "The Mix"!) and I've absolutely loved meeting you all and getting to see your journeys through the last 10 years. You're an incredible bunch of people and (despite what you sometimes think about yourselves) you are some of the kindest, most genuine people I've ever met and you all deserve to be supported and loved <3

My day job (amongst other things) has become particularly stressful recently and I didn't want to continue in the role when I didn't have enough headspace and resilience myself to give it the attention it deserves! After all, us mods are always preaching self-care to you guys, so it would be very hypocritical not to take onboard that message ourselves ;)....

It's crazy to think i've known some of you literally years and years, longer than many of my current friends and partner! I really will miss you all. Sending huge amounts of love and wishing you all the best for the future you lovely lovely people! <3

    Sometimes when the people most like you don't love you, it is a hurt that can cause the greatest pain, and this pain can lead you to hate everything.

    Im going to miss you tons on here @Alice you have been such a lovely mod on here and just as many mods on here too im gonna miss you tons right now. I still remember being in the group chats with you when you used to be the secrect mod/supervisor for the chats :joy: and we all were guessing who you were at first <3. All the best for the future though and make sure to take care of yourself too right now as I know you have got a lot on right now. Good luck with everything and look after yourself. Im always here if you do need support too right now <3.

    You've been an incredible supervisor and you was always super supportive when I was moderating! A huge thank you and a massive congratulations on this achievement (a decade!!)

    Alice it was lovely to have had you supervise me, we had a good giggle at times and the community has been so very lucky to have someone like you for so long, and I truly wish you all of the best and that things start feeling a bit more comfortable for you too. You have given so much amazing time and effort, and it has paid off in so many ways. You'll never know the difference you managed to make :)
