Should watch parties replace the Topic Thread on the last Saturday of each month?

Hihi guys!!

As you may be aware, we used to run Watch Parties wherever we could and we are still aiming to do this on the final Saturday of each month. However, we’re aware that there is already quite a lot going on at The Mix on weekends so we do not want to bombard you. So, we wanted to run a poll to get your feedback on whether you would like the watch parties to replace the topic threads (if you are unfamiliar on what these are, you can read about it by going to this post) on the final Saturday of each month, starting with a potential watch party on Saturday 31st May!

This will not impact the topic threads for April, and would start from May onwards.

We are also working hard behind the scenes to plan more fun activities for Mondays and Fridays, and will be in touch regarding quizzes and potentially some other fun stuff very soon!

    I've never taken part in any of the support threads but did enjoy the watch party I attended at Christmas.

    @Leyla Just maybe try to get the film or whatever we are watching on platforms we all have access to please like YouTube is a good one

    FWIW I think that at the moment the support type threads should take priority, given that there are so few of them. It may be that by the end of May this situation is better, so it might be worth looking at that first

    @Redemption alot of movies you still have to pay for on YouTube and the ones free are usually bad quality that people have screen recorded

    @Redemption , thank you for that feedback, and we'll definitely take it on board, making sure that any Watch Parties we do host are on free platforms that everyone can access.

    Hi folks!

    It looks like people mostly want the final Saturday of the month to be replaced with a Watch Party or aren't fussed either way, so thank you all for your input! I shall put a separate post up with the options for our first watch party at the end of May!
