Hey Everyone,
We know that change can be difficult, and the team have heard the community's worries about the recent changes at The Mix, especially since the merger. We want to acknowledge the feelings you've shared – the frustration, uncertainty, and perhaps even some sadness about things feeling different?
Your voices are so important to us, and we really appreciate you taking the time and energy to express what's on your mind. We understand that these changes, including those related to moderators and the updated Community Guidelines, have impacted our community in various ways. We recognise that these shifts can bring up a range of emotions, and we want to create a safe space to explore those feelings together.
With all of this in mind, we're inviting you to a youth voice session focused on navigating change within our community, led by myself and Talie. This isn't just about discussing the changes themselves, but also about acknowledging how they've affected us and exploring how The Mix can communicate any changes with you in the best ways moving forward.

Firstly, thank you so much for coming. You were all brilliant and articulated some of your concerns so well to us, which is not easy to do.
Updates:
1) Talie and I are working together to build a report on some of the things you raised in the chat to be passed on to the wider team
2) A Q+A thread from us is still on it's way- we are just working our way through the transcript as there is a lot to get through!
I wanted to send a big thank you again for sharing your thoughts and feelings in the navigating change session we hosted last month. We really appreciate your honesty and openness. For those of you who attended the last session, I've put together a report summarising everything you told us and have attached it to my most recent email to you (sent today) ahead of the session this evening.
As you know, I'll be hosting a follow-up session with Anthony (our youth voice manager) tonight from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM on Chatwee, where we can chat more about the report. The password to the room is in my most recent email to you all.
In the session we'd like to talk about:
A quick overview of what you told us in the last session.
Your first thoughts on the recommendations in the report
Updates on things the community team are already working on to make things better.
A chance for you to let us know if we've missed anything important.
A space to share how you're feeling about the community right now.
Please keep in mind that while we're eager to action all of the recommendations, some changes may take time to put in place. We want to be transparent and realistic about the process, and we'll keep you updated every step of the way.
