- Describe General Chat in three words
- Would you recommend General Chat to a friend?
- If so, why? If not, what could be improved? - When would you choose to go to General Chat over Support Chat?
Thanks soooo much everybody!

2) yeah
3) when I don’t need support or if sc is busy
Wish to bully me…I’m used to it
Want to talk crap about me…go on then
Want to make me cry…feel free
chatting and conversing
Would you recommend General Chat to a friend?
yes i would
- If so, why? If not, what could be improved?
because you get to chat with different people
When would you choose to go to General Chat over Support Chat?
sometimes theres no need to as i dont need support nor to vent to others so i like a bit of a casual conversation.
2. Yeah I would. Because it can be fun
3. Usually when I don’t feel like i need support or if SC is too much or too busy, or if people are fighting in SC
2) would I recommend it? Yeah. It’s fun and a safe messaging space. I often find there’s hardly anyone there though, but there’s not exactly anything that can be done about that lol
3) when would I choose general over support chat? When support chat gets too heavy or too busy, or someone’s in crisis, people are arguing, if nobody is responding to me, etc. basically if support chat becomes a negative space and I’m not in a headspace to deal with it. Also, if I don’t need support but just want to talk to people then I might go to general chat
Yea I would
Majority of the time I’d chose gc over sc unless there’s no one in there or the conversation turns heavy for whatever reason . It’s a good distraction
We're just curious to hear your thoughts on how we can make the space even better. Any ideas or suggestions you have would be amazingggg!
Sorry about the post making it seem like we're removing general chat. We're just looking for feedback to help us improve it
Seeing this thread I also felt the same way and kind of panicked. But i'm sure they woulden't due that because of being very popular amongst users on here. Wait I realised I need to do the above tasks too haha
1) Chaotic but in the best way it could possibly be, inspiring and life-changing because of the amazing people I have met on there.
2) I would definitely reccomend it to a friend and I also go around promoting it in my local neurodiversity hub for some of the younger people who go there. Im always promoting the mix irl and stuff.
3) I do feel like there could be more things that could improve the general chat. For instance, I feel like maybe extending the hours from 8:00 to 10:00pm if possible because chat generally goes so so fast and it doesn't feel like enough time personally to get out all the things I wanna chat about xd. Also I feel like possibly opening up on weekends too as I feel like during the week users may be busy with school etc. Also maybe on a Friday too but this would depend on the amount of mods available and also their shift patterns too.
4) I normally go to general chat anyways as I find it not too busy as sc chat and also sometimes I can find sc overwhelming sometimes due to it being busy and stuff. But I do go to general chat if say sc was busy or full or when I don't necessarily need support and I just feel bored or lonely and want to communicate online than verbally I guess. I don't know how best to explain it really but I find it easier to communicate with others online than verbally because as someone who is neurodiverse I find it hard actually making small talk.
Also the chats have helped me to become more confident speaking to people and members of the public as well now. I noticed my confidence in talking is slowly improving a bit.
Just wanted to say similarly to this, I’ve found the chats really helpful with building my confidence in talking to people. Having a real time conversation in a comfortable way is helping me build up what I’m capable of
