Goals for 2019!

Former MemberFormer Member Lyrical PosterPosts: 5,462 Part of The Furniture
hey folks,

So.. I don't like the term new years resolutions, but I thought it would be a nice thing for us to share some of the goals we may want for 2019, this doesn't mean we have to achieve them, there is no pressure

So for me, I want to start running again, I want to start the c25k, for those who may not know what that it is a running program that gradually builds you up for a 5k run in 8 weeks. I did it the middle of this year, but injured my knee and never got back into it,

Another goal is to save, and learn to budget better

I think we can just use this thread to share our goals, we may have more than one, that's okay. Share away if you feel comfortable to share your goals,

I look forward to reading them

Sharing is caring

    Good thread idea :+1:

For me, ideally... I want to be the best carer I can for my pets (I always try but all the same) :) I also want to see a doctor and hopefully improve my mental health. There's probably other things too lol but those are the ones that came to mind :-)

    Good luck with your goals!

For me it’s just to be able to get through this year of college and pass the courses in doing . So simple but college is so hard at the moment for me , it’s a battle to get to lessons when I get there so making it through the year without dropping out will make me hella proud

Honestly I've had a good morning of reflection(a coach is the best place of course 😂)

And while my counsellor really upset me Monday I've thought about it.  And I've decided because nobody has done anything for me(in person counselling wise,  you've all been fab 💕)
That I'll show them all wrong and do it myself.

So my goals are to improve my anxiety. Keep on fighting. Save up money. Continue to be nice to others 💜 and just see my partner as much as I can.  :)

for me the dream is to be hospital free lol, don't know how that will turn out

some littler goals for me is to reduce my self harm or at least the severity of it. get my anxiety under control enough to go to London. see my friends more. get back into photography (recently found an app called Gurushots and its making me realize how much I miss it) and save more instead of blowing all my money on payday

I love photography, not very good at it though. I relax so much when taking pictures, my phone has a good camera.

Didn't know where to put this but had to share it 🙌🙌 sick of seeing all these diet ads for the New Year,  new year is a time to be happy, so don't punish your body, love it instead 😊

Just found this thread and thought it would be good to reflect.

I haven't been hospital free, far from it with over 20 admissions and many A&E trips 🙈 but hoping that's going to reduce now as I think I'm on the right meds 😊

self harm has reduced massively … from going from self harming every other day to being 48 days self harm free is huge for me, and before my last  (week long) relapse I was 2 months! self harm free :) honestly never thought i'd be able to do this.

managed to go to London without anxiety getting in the way, yes I did use my anxiety meds but we all need a little help sometimes :) the main thing is I had a blast!

still struggling to see my friends up here as well we're all moving on with our lives and they both now have children, but we're in regular contact and we're always there for each other no matter what time of day/night :)

trying to get back into photography still, have been out a few times with my camera :)

I have got better at managing money, but I think that's to do with being on the right meds and I find i'm not impulse buying anymore, well apart from now cause it's CHRISTMAS! :)

Nice idea to reflect on these goals @Past User. I've moved this to the main forum. :)

Well I passed my access course... and I did technically get accepted onto my nursing degree but they wouldn’t let me start due to my MH lol

Thanks for bringing this thread back

Also reflecting on my goals for 2019, I didn't manage to complete the c25k, but I have got better with saving and budgeting.

I am going to be doing a goals for 2020 thread, feels very weird saying that. This year has flown by.
