    I have Ubuntu- I will recommend. Its good for Linux

    so if two laptops are sold one with linux and the other with windows, will the linux one be cheaper?

    I've used ubuntu, and like most linux OSes, isn't designed to be plug and play.

    I'll stick with windows for now, and if I ever need to use linux, I've always got virtualisation.
