Hi @Jack25 It's great that you have a review booked in for June. And though you have been experiencing all of these symptoms for a while now, its sounds like they are hearing what you're going through. Depression can be overwhelming to deal with and it takes a lot of strength to manage it - can I ask what are the steps you're taking to manage it? Thanks for sharing this update with us. How are you feeling about it the letter confirming everything?

@Sabah I plan to game and I might watch a movie or a show, no idea what to watch though.

I think I narrowed a couple of cars down but I actually don't know between them what to get. I know its a first world problem and other people are having other issues yet I'm just here saying I don't know what car to get but I actually am unsure its actually becoming a tad fustrating. Like go preformance but that would mean higher running costs potentially or get something nicish and sensible that would give me money to save for future goals like a house.

Hey @so_very_tired sorry to hear this, we are here to listen if you feel like sharing what is causing you stress right now.

  • so_very_tiredso_very_tired Posts: 740 Part of The Mix Family

Locked inside my house right now so I'm very agitated and I have a very good idea that this could lead to a full on meltdown when my family gets home.

  • VerityVerity Community Manager Posts: 247 Trailblazer

@so_very_tired thanks for sharing, this sounds really stressfull, if you don't mind me asking, what led to you being locked in your home?

  • so_very_tiredso_very_tired Posts: 740 Part of The Mix Family

I don't think it's anything I did, normally the front door is locked when someone goes out but not the back door is locked as well so I can't leave.

  • VerityVerity Community Manager Posts: 247 Trailblazer

@so_very_tired I understand, do you know when your family will be home? I'm wondering if there's anything that could help pass the time, maybe a show to watch, have you been locked in for a while?

  • so_very_tiredso_very_tired Posts: 740 Part of The Mix Family

I'm trying to listen to some music right now and calm down. I'm going to see if it works or does absolutely nothing.

  • VerityVerity Community Manager Posts: 247 Trailblazer

That sounds like a great idea! I thought I'd share this with you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWPYhebILb4

No need to apologise @Redemption it's good that your taking these things into consideration and visualising your furture purchases. I understand it could be stressfull, a car is a big purchase and commitment!

If a friend was struggling to make the same decision as you, what advice would you give them?

Hey @so_very_tired, I'm curious as to whether listening to music helped you earlier (maybe the playlist that Verity sent)? And how has your day turned out today following being locked in this morning?

  • CallumCallum Community Manager Posts: 68 Boards Initiate

@Redemption That sounds like great advice to give! Is that something you could consider when thinking about buying your next car?

Also, that sounds difficult! How are you feeling now @Redemption?

@so_very_tired do you know if it will affect your chances of getting a paid job if you don't go? Tbh not college I skipped the odd day, I think it turned into more days so I got a letter home about it but I'd say the odd day won't do much harm just pretend you're sick or somet coz its not like you get paid to go college

  • so_very_tiredso_very_tired Posts: 740 Part of The Mix Family

I honsetly doubt that anyone, aside from family and college, would care if I skip a few days of college. I walked out of college last year and I faced very little conseqauence for it so I'm not worried about me getting denied paid work because I skipped a day of college.
