This is a space to chat or vent about things which you think may be more triggering for the Community but still want to get off your chest.

Every Monday morning we will close the thread and start a new one so we have a fresh one each week. If you'd like to check out this week's venting thread that isn't triggering, click here.

Please go hug your loved ones this christmas. Hug them tight. My friends mum (some may know the story) has passed away tonight.

Oh gosh I am so sorry to hear that (I remember you saying about that quite recently) I can't imagine what they must be feeling right now. I totally echo what you say about hugging your loved ones, literally make the most of them while you can.

@Amy22 it’s horrible. It was the message i have been dreading. Looking at my phone just hoping, hoping that’s not the message on my screen. And tonight it was. Can’t even begin to imagine how she’s feeling.

I only remember talking about it the other night too and its like 2 days before Christmas as well. It's so awful it happened as well because I know how close they were as well.

Hey @Dancer thanks for sharing this with us and you are going through this pain, how is your evening going with your dad?

Today is exactly 18 months since my mum passed away. It still feels odd without her around and I miss her a lot especially with this time of year where families are all gathering together. My sister has gone to spend Christmas with her boyfriend so it is just me and my dad.

@Dancer I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm glad you and you're dad have each other during this painful anniversary.

@Dancer , I'm so sorry for your loss also, and am thinking of you and all that you're holding this Christmas. How did the day feel yesterday, and I wonder what it was like to be with your Dad? It sounds like you sister being elsewhere was another change to navigate, is that right? Thank you for sharing, Dancer, and we're here if you'd find it helpful to chat a little bit more about it

If helpful @Dancer , this is a meditation all around loss and processing feelings of bereavement if you'd find it soothing:
