future career

recently ive been thinking about getting a career in counselling or something to do with the mental health sector. im also thinking about doing either a psychology or criminology degree. what do you want to become in the future?

Hey @toffuna101, thanks for sharing! Psychology, criminology and counselling all sound like really interesting career paths to go for. What draws you to them?

For me, I've been working towards a finance career. It's an area that really interests me, where I can use my skills, and where there's lots of cool opportunities on offer. I've had the opportunity to meet some amazing people, and really enjoying the journey so far!

@Azziman i like helping people and listening to their problems. i also like the criminal justice system and how to reduce re-offending as well as how the brain works.

Hiya that sounds like such a great opportunity. I’m also great reasons for really thinking about doing counselling. I’m actually on a waiting list to start a counselling course in September so maybe we could support each other lol I’m sure you will be great whatever you choose to do

Hi @toffuna101 I am currently studying a integrated masters in clinical psychology and I really enjoy it. In september I will be on my placement at a NHS talking therapies clinic so I'm really excited for that as I enjoy helping people. Your career options sound exciting, remember you've got time to decide and not to put too much pressure on yourself.
