Today I found out about Ask For Angela when me and my mum were looking for something on Facebook. It was actually called asking for an Angel Shot but there is also something very similar called Ask For Angela.
It is a campaign that was started in 2016 that is used by bars and other venues to keep them safe from sexual assault, being in danger or in an uncomfortable situation such as on a date. When you are in a situation like this, go to the bar and ask for Angela and staff will know that you immediately need help and they will safely and discreetly get you out.
Asking for an angel shot is exactly the same process but there are different code words for what help is needed such as being escorted to your car, calling a taxi or calling the police.
