Carers awareness

AbigailAbigail Posts: 816 Part of The Mix Family
Every year there are 9 days, we celebrate and raise awareness about what carers do and how we can support them.

25th January 2018 is carers awareness day
11th - 18th June 2018 carers awareness week
24th November 2018 carers rights day.

Carers are normal people and can hide what they do well. Unless you are a carer or know a carer, you might know the signs of what means a carer is you probably wouldn't realises. I have known somepeople for over a year and i have know just found out that they are carer.

Please continue raise awareness. Look after the carers in are community.

Some people think I am unhappy. I'm not. I just approach silence in the world that never stops talking.

Could a young carer (me) be registered to look after an older sibling (Mandy)?

    Hey Abi,

Thank you for raising awareness and sharing more information about carers awareness day. :)

    All the best,

Maybe somethings don't get better, but we do. We get stronger. We learn to live with our situations as messy and ugly as they are. We fix what we can and we adapt to what we can't. Maybe some of us will never fully be okay, but at least we're here. We're still trying. We're doing the best we can. That's worth celebrating too ❤
