Happy Singles Awareness Day!

So today I learned about an unofficial holiday celebrated the day after Valentine's Day which celebrates romantic love along with love between family, friends and most importantly, yourself. I know Valentine's Day is hard for some people here due to not being in a relationship, myself included, which is one of the main reasons for me making this thread to introduce more people to this day.

I'm not exactly the biggest fan of Valentine's Day for multiple reasons, but mainly because I feel like there is little to no consideration for people who are either unwillingly or willingly single and because I feel like too much emphasis is placed onto romantic love instead of love for friends and family and what I consider to be most important, yourself. I personally believe that self-love is the most important love because you can't expect someone to give you their love if you can't do the same for yourself and because no one can love you in the same way you can. I have nothing against Valentine's Day, but I feel like the day would be better, and easier, if it celebrated love in general instead of romantic love, but that's my opinion and I open to hearing yours.

One last thing if you haven't done this already, give yourself some love, as you deserve it. Enjoy the rest of your day and the day after that because this day is almost over.
