Blue Monday

Today is known as Blue Monday, which is seen as the "most depressing day of the year". There are different factors which contribute to Blue Monday, including the money struggles after Christmas and the cold, dark weather that both can lead to a lack of motivation and feelings of depression.
Depression doesn't just pick one day though, it can be experienced every day of the year. Occasions like Blue Monday make it more important to talk about ways to cope with these feelings, and where to seek support. This can be as simple as talking to a friend or relative, reaching out for professional support like therapy, or coping strategies like watching a film or doing a hobby.
Is anyone feeling the effects of Blue Monday today? This space is to talk about your own struggles with low mood and/or depression, whether that's related to Blue Monday or something you face everyday. We're all here to listen, and let's share our best coping strategies and support options to help each other out and feel more positive!
