Getting doubted

People have started criticizing me again. I thought it had eased off a few weeks ago, but the situation has escalated once more. I am still not where I want to be, and on top of that, people keep judging me, comparing themselves to me, telling me what I should have done, and expressing doubt about me. I really hate being doubted and criticized. It makes everything feel heavier. Today, some comments were said to me that brought dark thoughts into my mind, even if only for a short while. I have been feeling like this for so long, dealing with the same thoughts over and over, trying to hold on, but when I keep getting comments, doubt, and criticism from others on top of my own self doubt, it is so hard. I do not feel supported, and there are not many people I can turn to. Most of my days are spent at home, leaving me mentally and physically drained from it as it is. I know I am on my own path, but it often feels like everything I do fails. I have been trying small changes like reducing screen time, being more assertive, avoiding overthinking, and actively looking for work. Despite setbacks, I am persisting and looking for a breakthrough, even though nothing I have tried so far has worked out as I had hoped.

    Hi @Redemption

I hear how you are feeling repeatedly criticised and doubted by others you, that sounds really heavy to be dealing with especially on your own. How are you feeling after sharing what you've been going through?

It is so great to hear you're deciding to persist with the small changes, sometimes you don't realise it but over time the small things do really add up and make a difference. So this commitment is something you should really be proud of.

I know you mention these changes haven't worked yet, something that might help the overthinking or self doubt might be writing challenges to the negative thoughts. Then when the self doubt gets loud maybe you could read through how you have challenged these thoughts before.

Also just to check in how are you doing today?
