Getting worried about puberty

Im 13 and it feels like literally everyone in my year has hit puberty and I just havent. Its getting me down a lot and I dont know what to do.

    I’ve been there, I was scared I’d never hit puberty lol. You’ll get there in your own time. I know it’s hard right now, but health-wise I don’t think you need to worry. I’m sure there are lots of other people your age in the same position but nobody really talks about it.

    @AnonymousToe is spot on here @SwimmingOtter. Everyone goes through puberty at different ages, and whats normal varies widely. I can only speak from a female perspective but I knew girls who started going through it young at like 8 or 9, and then I knew one girl who didn’t start having periods until she was 17. I imagine it’s similar for boys in variability.

    At your age there’s absolutely nothing to worry about health wise like Tow said, but I understand it can be tough as far as confidence is concerned. The teenage years are tough because every little difference feels huge. But i promise you, it will happen eventually. There are ages at which you’re meant to see a doctor if you haven’t seen any signs of puberty yet but I’m not sure what those are, but i’m pretty sure you have a few years before you need to worry about that yet.
