I’m having another one of those “oh god, I’m gonna be alone for the rest of my life” moments

I’m alone for the most part. And for the most part, I’m fine with it. But as I’m currently enjoying my meal in peace, it suddenly hits me. “Oh god, I’m gonna be alone for the rest of my life”

Weird how it suddenly just pops out of nowhere

    Not to make this about me but I relate to this, @bignosegirly0 I just mean I get it and understand how you feel. I think you have said you've tried looking into relationships which we unfortunately don't have here but we do if you don't know have our support groups on Monday to Thursday evenings 8pm till 9 30pm, then daytime chats Sunday and 3pm till 4 30, 1 30 till 3pm on Fridays, this can be great for loneliness, we have a family like and extremely supportive on these chats vibe, we have general chats which is light hearted topics for example intrests like music, weather, hobbies and other light hearted stuff then we have support chat which you can talk about this sort of stuff loneliness etc, like here on boards you just have to follow the guidelines. Its on tonight if you want to come on, it certainly helps me with my loneliness. No obligation or anything but if you want come on at 8pm tonight you're completely welcome heres the link.

    @eylah really sorry for the late response. Unfortunately, I’m not doing great. I managed to feel a bit better later on the day. But as I’m currently at the gym, I got suddenly hit with this heavy unlovable feeling. I’m currently trying to motivate myself to carry on at the gym, but I feel really depressed to the point where I just want to lay in bed.

    @bignosegirly0 thank you for sharing this, and that heavy-unlovable-feeling sounds so hard to carry right now. I wonder what it might be like in those moments to allow yourself to make a bit of space for that feeling, as opposed to feeling like you must push through?

    What you're describing sounds so deeply human - that wish to be loved and held. And it sounds like the loneliness of not having that in your life right now can really hurt.

    I wonder if anyone else can relate to that at all? And how do you respond to that feeling?

    @Sian321 its not great when it can effect the work I’m doing. It makes me tired and less focused.

    Obviously, it is a feeling that everyone has felt in their life, regardless of whether it’s real or not. But I dwell on that feeling on a daily basis. It follows me around. Some days, I’m able to cope, whilst other days, it makes me feel passively suicidal. I still continue with my life, but it does live in the back of my head.
