I feel massive tension in my head. My mind is racing. I feel so fucking hopeless, like I'm stuck in a fucking loop. My body would sometimes shake and twitch. My mind will randomly stop thinking and my body will freeze.I can't stop looking at my face and fear of being mistreated again due to my appearance. I'm hoping my therapy session today will actually take place.

    hey @bignosegirly0 🙂

i’m really sorry you’re feeling like this, it sounds terrifying and exhausting, and i can hear how much it’s weighing on you.

you’re not crazy or weak for feeling this way. it sounds like your body and mind are just completely overwhelmed, and honestly, with everything you’ve been going through, it makes sense.

that feeling of being stuck in a loop, not being able to stop your thoughts, your body reacting like that, it’s not something you’re making up or exaggerating - it is real!

i wonder how your therapy session went? i hope that it went ok for you - you are so deserving of support!

i’m so proud of you <3

@shannon_164 hiya, my therapy session went a lot better than my last one, considering there wasn’t any technical issues :)

The lady I was chatting with says that the better option was for me to find a private counsellor which can deal with my issues that are more in depth and need more time to heal.

She sent me a link to a website which offered therapists in my areas. The unfortunate thing is that the cheapest one I could find is £35 and in a month, I’ll be spending £60 a week on driving lessons. So unfortunately I might not be able to go to a private therapist for a while.

I’m considering looking into the mix counselling

aw that’s good to hear @bignosegirly0 - i’m glad that it went better!

i totally understand that going private isn’t an option for everyone which is totally ok, there are several free counselling options out there too, the only thing is most of them tend to be limited to around 8 sessions:(

it’s great that you’re looking into other places such as the mix too, i done counselling with them a few times and they are so far the only positive experience of counselling i’ve had - the counsellor was honestly the most loveliest person and i felt so heard! i know the mix can be a nightmare to get sessions with as they appear to be rather limited, so im gonna pop a few more places which you could also look into if you wanted?
knus / qwell - dependent on age & location, but you are able to get a named worker on there to discuss things with, it is similar to the mix though being restricted to 6/8 sessions.

hidden strength - you can do counselling on there, they are all so lovely and there is also no limit to how many sessions too, in addition to the one session per week you can also use their chat option too twice a week.

pips - i’m not sure where abouts in the uk that you are, this one is northern ireland specific though, they offer counselling sessions with no limit.

i just done a google search too, i found this website which has a list of places that offer low cost counselling sessions, as low as £5 - im not sure if this would be an option for you, but just in case it might be i’ll add the link too!
