Someone has spread a rumour that I’VE spread a rumour about a bully dating me in high school

You know that typical behaviour in high school when boys think you’re ugly, so they PRETEND to be attracted to you AS A JOKE to MAKE THEIR FRIENDS LAUGH and they’re NOT GENUINELY ATTRACTED TO YOU.

Well I’ve faced the same treatment at my workplace, sadly. I’ve ranted about it a lot and when I found out a bully was leaving, I said I could cry from happiness.

Guess who got a lovely message from said person, claiming I spread a rumour that I was dating in him in high school, even though we didn’t even go to the same school, let alone knew each other. And every time I asked him who told him that rumor, he refuses to elaborate.

That’s awful . I’m so sorry you are going through that! No one should have to put up with bullies- especially at work

@louisa982 it’s important for me to admit that I’m also in the wrong. I vented a lot to my coworkers about him, instead of letting things go. Obviously, these are the consequences of my own poor decisions.

Apparently, everything I’ve said about him has been told to him. And if there’s a rumour that I spreaded a rumour about me dating him in high school, I can’t imagine what other rumours there are 😐

I won’t be leaving work for a while (unfortunately) because indeed is useless. But I know for hell that it’s gonna be a few shitty shifts for me 😀👍
