What are your Christmas/Winter traditions?

What are your Christmas or Winter traditions if you have any?
Mine are that I always try and read a Christmas book in December. I love watching Christmas films throughout December but save the best ones (Elf, Home Alone, Christmas with the Kranks) for Christmas Eve.
I buy my Christmas cards and wrapping paper in the January sales. I find January can be a bit dark and gloomy so I keep any fairy lights up and plan some nice things even if that's watching a new movie or calling a friend.
If you'd like to create new traditions this year you might pick some ideas up from this thread!
