    Hello @Past User ,

Thank you for sharing this with us. We can hear that things are feeling frustrating and exhausting at the moment, and we're here for you. <3

You've mentioned that you need to get through until 7 December without support from your CAMHS worker. Have you got any ideas for how you might do that? We're all here for you through this time, Morgan.

Would you like to tell us any more about the show in December? What will you be performing? Performing is scary, and I'm proud of you for putting yourself forward to give it a go. I bet you'll be great!

    Take care,
    Harry

    Hey @Past User,

Firstly I want to say a massive well done for being self harm free for 21 days and for finding a college for September, thats great news and something to be really proud of. I'm hearing that you are struggling at school, that sounds really difficult. You mentioned there is a teacher thats nice to you, thats good. How would you feel about reaching out to her and telling her about how you're feeling, either face to face or maybe by email if you feel more comfortable that way?

I'm also hearing that your CAMHS worker is away until the 7th December, that sounds tough. Remember the whole Mix community is here to offer support if you need anything and if you need support from another mental health professional in the meantime you can call 111 or your GP or you can call samaritans on 116 123 if you want to speak to someone. Going to the Doctors about mental health can be really challenging, a good tip I find is to write down your thoughts before hand to discuss with the doctor that way if you are nervous whilst in the appointment you can remember what you want to talk about. Also starting medication can be nerve-racking, but being on medication doesn't make you a freak, and if you are concerned about being on medication it's important to address that with the doctor as there are many other treatment options if one doesn't work for you.

A performing arts show sounds really interesting. Can I ask what you are doing in the show? I'm hearing that you don't want to be judged by your family. That sounds really difficult. Performing can be really nerve-racking, but no matter how you do in the show I'm sure you'll be amazing. Have you spoken to your family and told them how you're feeling?

Please keep us updated with how your getting on :)

    Hi Morgan,

I'm hearing that you are worried that by telling your teacher she will send you to hospital. That sounds really difficult. Teachers do have a safeguarding responsibility to make sure that you are safe, but they wouldn't be able to send you to hospital without your permission. Taking medication shouldn't affect overnight trips, many people take medication for their mental health without it affecting any activities they may do, if you are worried about this its definitely something that you would be able to speak to your GP about. Other options of treatment may include different therapies such as talking therapy or CBT, but again your GP should be able to inform you of all the options available to you.

Wow drama and 4 dances sounds amazing, I always went to my friend's shows and I loved watching the dances. I'm sure your family will absolutely love watching you too.

Thank you for sharing this with us @Past User. How are you feeling at the moment about the idea of going to the hospital?

I can hear that you hope it won't affect an upcoming trip. We hope that it won't affect an upcoming trip too and that you can still enjoy the trip.

Please feel free to keep us in the loop with how this goes, we are all here for you and listening to you :)
