Do hugs count? If so, hugs from my family <3

@Laura_tigger82 Probably one that I'm getting this year, which was meant to be last year, it's a teddy with my grandad's voice in it. He's been really unwell these past two years, and I've been worried about him passing without having something with his voice, so I asked for it for Christmas, and should be getting it this year :)

    Aww! Super precious <3

A memory that will never end :)

I am really sorry to hear about your grandad by the way. I went through something really similar only a few years ago. If you need to talk or anything, I am right here <3

I've had a lot of lovely presents through the years despite my family struggling financially. However I particularly love my unicorn teddy bear that I got last year. It sleeps in my bed every night with me.

@Brookee That just lit up my day, lovely! Mine has to be the present I got when I first came out to my friend. She's an avid baker so she made some carrot cake cupcakes (loved them) and to give some context, when I came out she made a weird face and me, being the overthinker I am, started worrying and spiralling (inadvertedly ignoring everyone for a week) until she made the cake with an edible rainbow charm on top! It was possibly the best gift I have ever gotten!

@Laura_tigger82 Thank you so much! It's just something I feel like I would treasure forever! Thank you for being so kind and supportive, I'm sorry about your grandad as well, please feel free to reach out if you ever need anything!

@Dancer Christmas can be so difficult financially, I think that even just spending time with family is an amazing gift in times like these, I'm so pleased you've got a plushie to treasure, everything's better with a plushie!!

@maryam852 You're so kind! Thank you for sharing, that's such a wholesome little story! I'm super pleased it all worked out well, and your friend was so supportive!! I bet the cake was delicious too :)

Today I also got a mini unicorn snuggly hot water bottle (it is a teddy that I can heat up in the microwave.) My sister came over with her boyfriend and gave it to me. I also got a packet of haribo.

The teddy is super precious @Brookee :) Did you manage to get one for Christmas?

Thanks so much for all of your kindness and support too! Time heals but they are never forgotten.

I often find chuckling at old memories a good way to manage the difficult feelings that come with grief <3

@Laura_tigger82 Thank you! I didn't, but I managed to get it organised on build a bear and I'm just waiting for it to arrive now, so I'm very excited!! Of course! I understand how hard it can be, so please don't ever feel like you have to go through it alone! Always here for you! That's a really lovely thing to do, I'm so pleased that you can find some comfort in past times when the grief presents itself <3

My Nanna gave me a musical jewellery box which I used to always play with when she looked after me growing up. She wrapped it up one Christmas for me. Will forever treasure it. My Nanna passed away in 2015 so it’s very special to me

You guys are so sweet!! Honestly, it's thoughtful funny gifts like this that matter so much to me, I also think it's nice to get gifts that you would have loved as a child. Like this year my parents got me a playdoh painting type thing, and it felt like my inner child was so happy:)

@AislingDM I agree, they're wonderful! Yes! It's so great to be able to connect with your inner child during the holidays or celebrations, I love that for you! That playdoh painting set sounds absolutely wonderful! It's making my heart so warm to know that you get to reconnect with your inner child, that's so important to let them run free every now and again! :)

So so true!! This idea of not having to think of toys and stuff as 'just' for children is essential, like why would adults not enjoy arts and crafts too??? Needless to say, the Playdoh gun is fab and I am loving it xx

Oh absolutely agree with you @AislingDM. I really like colouring personally. I find it brings out my inner child and find it relaxing. I am glad to hear you are enjoying the Playdoh :3
