Hey everyone, sorry for missing June's playlist challenge I haven't been well but it's onwards and upwards now!
The theme for this month is going to be...
Progress
I would like to see songs that represent your progress, this can be at work, education, in your personal life or anything in between

Who Is She - Qveen Herby

Learning to constantly love myself to the point where I don't recognize the person I was back then.
Better By Myself - Hey Violet
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DP3Yvsf6LEQ
A reflection on my past relationships. I've lost a couple of friends but I feel a lot better about it? Some people saw a massive difference with my mood. It sucks but I'm grateful cos I found ways to enjoy my own company, surprisingly.
MANGO - KAMAUU

This whole song itself, essentially is a progress on my definition of love. As much as you love the person, sometimes the relationships may cause more harm than good; could be a one sided thing. Could be the fact that you bring out your worst qualities in each other and it's causing a lot of pain on both sides.
Perdida - Biig Piig

Strangely enough. This song actually represents on the way I now view my bad days. It's very overwhelming cos my emotions are everywhere. Over the years, that's progressed into something manageable? The lyrics may be a little somber and tired but the beat is easy-going. And that's exactly what my bad days sound like. Somber but manageable.

These are just examples but it's the way that she mixes French and English. It represents my progress as a French speaking person - felt insecure about speaking French cos it wasn't what it used to be but these songs developed that confidence to go for it and have fun with it!
Sorry, this is quite big. :
Thanks for doing this @Jade09, I love this idea
Birdy - Keeping Your Head Up
This has been such a memorable song for me since it came out. I try to remind myself of lines like "Hold tight; you're slowly coming back to life" when I'm struggling, especially while I'm battling depression, and hope the lyrics might help someone else.

Ruelle - Carry You
Ruelle said herself that she 'wanted to create something that sheds light on the goodness of humanity in the midst of what seems like a lot of darkness', and I think maybe we all need this reminder once in a while.
