I'm a bit conflicted tbh because I want to be back in uni now. My seminars are in large rooms with 15 people or less.

I'm struggling to separate home life struggles from uni so none of my uni work is getting done.

It's all going downhill and by being able to attend uni, safely and with precautions, I don't know why myself as an adult can't make these choices.

Scientists have said the rate will go back up to 1 when schools open. It did last time. I work in a school and caught covid.. it's not safe

It’s bad for their mental health
“And when they look at you, they won't see everything you've been through. They won't see the **** that turned to scars that began to fade with time. They won't see the heartbreaking things that shook up and changed your entire world. They won't know how many tears you cried or even what it was you were crying about. They won't see how strong you had to be because you had no other choice. What they will see though is how compassionate you are because you experienced pain. What they will see is how kind you are because you experienced how cruel the world is. What they will see is how good you are because you've seen how bad things or people can be. The difference between you and your experiences are who you choose to be, despite everything that could have turned you cold and unkind. You are the good the world needs and the best of us.” ~ Kirsten Corley

We will never get out of this pandemic if we keep doing things that push up the R rate...

I'm very conflicted! On the one hand, I think they should be open ASAP in interest of young people's well-being, mental health & education. On the other hand, I agree it's very risky health wise. My mum works in a school and I know she feels anxious about catching covid and/or bringing it home. Very conflicted!

Our under under 8s are all back at nursery/school today. Wish they'd open up unis.
