So we are a bit late to this, but thought it would be nice to have a thread where there will be daily self-care challenges throughout the festive period. As a bonus, this means you get to open 3 doors on one day!
Come back to this thread every day throughout December for self care ideas, and let us know in the thread how you got on with them. Remember, the importance of self-care is giving it a go with a purpose. It doesn't have to be perfect, if anything, allowing yourself to be 'messy' in these kind of activities can be perfect in its own way.
Write three things that you feel positive about or has made you smile (can be big or small) and dectorate the page that you have written them on. This could be with doodles, colours or collaging. Get creative!
December 2nd
Have some cosy time - make yourself a cosy nest and listen to music, read a book, do something that is just for you for however long you can spare.
December 3rd
Ground yourself in nature - go for a walk somewhere locally and try to really focus on your surroundings. What did you notice that stood out to you?
December 4th
Hydrate - make sure you drink enough today. If your cup or bottle is empty, fill it up! Use a straw or a jug if that helps you drink more through the day.
December 5th
Scrub up - give yourself an MOT. Clean your teeth, have shave, do your
hair, whack some makeup on. Do those little things that make you feel
comfortable and confident in your own skin. Even if you're not going anywhere, getting ready and dressing up can feel super good.
December 6th
Allocate some worry time - It's natural to worry about things. At the start of your day, find a 15 minute window where you know that you won't be disturbed and allow that time to think about things you are worried about. Try and tell yourself throughout the day that you can worry about things later as they come up. Make sure that you have something fun/calming to do during/after your worry time.
December 7th
Make your own stress ball! All you need is some flour and a balloon. Fill your balloon with flour, tie a knot on the balloon. If you are feeling creative, have a go at decorating the balloon.
December 8th
Write some positive quotes, affirmations or memories that make you feel happy or proud. Put them in envelopes with 'open when you need to feel positive' and keep them somewhere that you can easily get to. Open these when you need a boost!

Always think about feeling better in a bad mood which can be hard. Writing positivity when you feel good can help when you may not see the good in things
