New year!

This is a new year thread to talk about what you are going to be up to or to get support if you find New year difficult.

For me New year is going to be extremley difficult this year because Shaun is coming out of prision 13 days after New year. I can't see me exisisting by then😥

    Im really dreading the new year. Its so lonely & awful & i thik i might just drink a lot by myself.  Always feel like people my age are gunna be having the best time of their lives at that time with friends & people, while im living some shit life

    New Years can be a really tough time for lots of people and to echo what Boa's said, you're not alone in finding this time of year difficult. You've all been making your own progress and taking brave steps this year which all of us are very proud of you for <3

    Maybe somethings don't get better, but we do. We get stronger. We learn to live with our situations as messy and ugly as they are. We fix what we can and we adapt to what we can't. Maybe some of us will never fully be okay, but at least we're here. We're still trying. We're doing the best we can. That's worth celebrating too ❤

    How my plans change lol. Only got back from my mums yesterday and was meant to go back down on Tuesday for New years Eve but I'm going back down this afternoon as she has tomorrow off now🤣 I'm probably not going to feel up to going down on Tuesday anyway and at least I'll be down from today until after New years day now.

    I don't evan want to be in a public place tonight where everyone is saying Happy new year. It's not a happy new year for me. I'm gona be sobbing all day and night😭

    @Past User It sounds like you feel like you don't want to be in public on New Years. If you do go out, do you have anyone with you who could maybe support you and make you feel more comfortable?

    We was going to have a chinese at my mums then go into a nearby town to watch the fireworks but I just said to my mum I might want to go for a little walk on my own close to midnight or just after and she said we arent going then😮 fine! We won't go and watch the fireworks. I'm not going to made to feel bad or guilty if I need some time on my own and then she said I'm bringing on stress for her so I'm causing her flare ups, she has colitus. So why the fuck am I down here if I'm causing her stress!?😡

    it sounds like mum would like to see the new year in with you , maybe you could watch the fireworks from out the front of the house if you’d be able to see them , or maybe you and mum could go for a walk together and then when your back home you could spend that alone time you wanted ❤️

    Januray had the dates i was locked up. I hate new year just for the lack of money and the come down. But i always think if i kill myself on the dates he locked me up maybe he will realise and will kill himself. But i doubt it

    one year i did try and so it will also be the date i was first sectioned

    It'll be really hard for me at midnight so I might want to be alone for a bit😭 the won't be fireworks from my mums house.
