Image result for the mix articleHey everyone,

We've got an exciting challenge this week!

We have over 2000 articles on our website on just about anything from mental health to money, from break-ups to drugs, from homelessness to finding a job.

Your challenge is to discover a new article each day this week and leave a comment at the end of the article about what you thought! When you leave a comment on the article, it will turn into a thread over in the articles section of the forum & this could help someone else discover a new article too :)

Have fun taking part in this week's challenge!

If you have any ideas of things we can do for the next weekly challenge let us know over on this form.
Maybe somethings don't get better, but we do. We get stronger. We learn to live with our situations as messy and ugly as they are. We fix what we can and we adapt to what we can't. Maybe some of us will never fully be okay, but at least we're here. We're still trying. We're doing the best we can. That's worth celebrating too ❤

I dont know if I am doing this right  but I read this article on payday loans

    https://www.themix.org.uk/money/credit-and-debt/pay-day-loans-8950.html

It was good and very helpful. I have taken out payday loans and got myself into lots of trouble with it. I wish people knew the dangers of getting these loans they can really ruin your life.
The sun will rise and we will try again

Hey Jelly, this is a great article thanks for sharing with us :)

    Here's a new article I read the other day - https://www.themix.org.uk/mental-health/how-positive-change-could-improve-your-mental-health-30207.html

It was really nice reading through each person's story and how trying something new improved their mental health.

    I finally read this one

    https://www.themix.org.uk/mental-health/self-harm/having-a-self-harm-relapse-5684.html

Think it was you who sent it me Aife I can’t remember.

This first sentance really hit home as i still do think a lot of this

“Self-harming again after not doing it for a while isn’t anything to be ashamed of – you haven’t suddenly become weak, you haven’t lost your will-power, and you haven’t let yourself – or anyone else – down”

Sometimes all you need is one person to believe in you , for you to begin to believe in yourself.

    "Eyebrow shaping"

    https://www.themix.org.uk/your-body/appearance/eyebrow-shaping-7412.html

Cause i have a hard time shaping my eyebrows aha. because i think have uneven eyebrows so end up drawing a striaght horizontal line across my face & see how uneven it is & that one is a tiny bit higher aha. the article doesnt say about uneven eyebrows lol but still helpful
“And when they look at you, they won't see everything you've been through. They won't see the **** that turned to scars that began to fade with time. They won't see the heartbreaking things that shook up and changed your entire world. They won't know how many tears you cried or even what it was you were crying about. They won't see how strong you had to be because you had no other choice. What they will see though is how compassionate you are because you experienced pain. What they will see is how kind you are because you experienced how cruel the world is. What they will see is how good you are because you've seen how bad things or people can be. The difference between you and your experiences are who you choose to be, despite everything that could have turned you cold and unkind. You are the good the world needs and the best of us.” ~ Kirsten Corley

This is what ive read a few weeks ago as feel Currently helpful

    https://www.themix.org.uk/sex-and-relationships/how-to-be-intimate-after-rape-27223.html

and this part is mostly what i took for it  & remembered for when feel triggered

Your physical body might be triggered at times; remember these are memories and if you’re safe, bring yourself to the present moment, remind yourself where you are and that you are safe now, and that you’re in control and that it’s OK to be intimate.
