Loving the positive vibes in the Christmas forum this year!

It's also a bit of a tradition to have a space to vent about anything that's ticking you off :impissed: during the festive period!

So if there's anything annoying you, let the community know here

Know the feeling Helen, I've developed a cold, and my skin has flared up and is really bad atm.

Also why are people so annoying when it's Christmas shopping time.. Yesterday I was getting so stressed out by lots of people in town.

Yesterday I was getting so stressed out by lots of people in town.

I have to admit I do try and avoid the shops at xmas time as much as possible! Online shopping FTW :thumb:

Although I love a Christmas market and a cheeky glass of mulled cider

I hate Christmas - and if I mention that I'm harshly criticised. I find the whole thing to be a stressful, expensive, chaotic, overblown nightmare. I've never understood why it's by far the biggest event of the year, nor why most people feel the need to spend the last couple of months of each year being obsessed by it. People don't bang on and on about Easter in January, no-one asks you in December what you're doing for Valentine's day - so I've never understood why the incessant playing of Christmas songs (most of which are awful) and Christmas-themed films on TV (most of which are sentimental nonsense) has to begin in October. Crowded shops, bank holidays when nearly everything is shut, along with the long cold dark nights make me feel miserable - not joyful. Having to pretend to love it serves to make matters worse. I don't even have any good memories of childhood Christmases because I was raised in severe poverty by awful parents, which further served to hammer home the message that I was poorer than all the other kids whom I knew at the time. I wish Christmas didn't exist.
