New Years Resolutions

HannHann Posts: 3,434 Boards Guru
The New Year is shortly upon us, you may have a resolution, you may not.

For me I have seen a few on Facebook to do everyday, now knowing me I will probably forget and stop.

The first is to set up a new SnapChat and take a picture everyday of what you have been doing, and at the end of the year look back at all the things you've been doing.

The second, is to get a jar and each day write what you did everyday, and at the end of the year look back on all the things you've been doing. Or an alternative, write something positive each day and the next year open one each day to get a little positive message :d (sounds a bit complicated because I can't word right :yum: )

Why not share below yours and maybe other people can get ideas :d

As BananaMonkey often says, Sharing is caring :hyper: :heart:

The positive jar idea is a brill one - saw a few people do it last year and think it would be fab to do! Another take on it, is to write a positive thing about a friend/loved one every day and then give it to them as a christmas present in 2016 - just a slightly different take on it ;)

My New Years Resolution is to continue practicing mindfulness as much as possible and to try and live in the moment as much as possible and to avoid worrying about things out of my control. It's also to carry on with my driving lessons after I've finished all my treatments.

Look forward to hearing others resolutions!

I am doing the positive jar thing, friend actually made me one for Christmas, and gave it to me, she started it off. So I am gonna continue to do that.

Another resolution is to be more healthy, I want to eat more healthy food, and actually take care of myself. Life is too short to be unhealthy. You only live once. I want to have a healthy life.

I also want to write more.

Sort my money situation out, save more, but also continue to pay off debts. I am determined to get there. :thumb:

I also want to do more mindfullness stuff, like less time online, more time colouring and relaxing, going outside.

And finally I want to visit more places. I don't mean like go abroad, travelling and things cos money is a issue. I just mean go to more places..

All great resolutions @*BananaMonkey* on the debts front, have you had some decent advice to keep you on track?

Visiting places - where have you got in mind so far?

Not really had any advice. I pay them all of monthly. I guess I just feel annoyed at myself for getting myself into it in the first place.

I want to go back to Leeds, however somebody who I used to be friends with, used to live there, and the last time I visited was the last time I saw her, so it's kind of sad, but I really want to go back. I also want to go to York again too.

I got a memory a day for 5 years book for Christmas, so I'm going to try and find something positive to write in that every day.
Another resolution is to take more time for myself (and not use all my holiday allowance on galivanting around!) so I can look after myself a bit more.
If my job doesn't improve by end of half 1, I have to start looking for a new one because I'm going to burn out otherwise.

My new years resolution is to try and move on from whats happened, Yes its happened, yes it was horrible, But feeling really depressed and hating myself every single minute and questioning my life, Isn't going to change whats happened, Its time to move on, Its time to overcome it.....It's time to be 'Me'.

Not a new years resolution but before 2016 is over I want to have set myself a goal, A fundraising goal.

Like everyone has new years resolution, like the start a year is going to bring changes, its just going to be a horrendous fuck up like this year was. I think my expectations are constantly to high, and I've just decided this year, I'm not going to bother, because despite whatever year it might be, it's still going to be completely fucked.

My new years resolutions are to face my fears and try new things, half of my fears cannot actually hurt me at all.
My second one would be to be more dedicated to actually attending college, I always get my work in on time but I fail to go to the lessons most times.
The third one would be to travel more, at the moment I'm planning on going to london and birmingham with my girlfriend
