Ok, people who are studying in England. How do you pay for your tuition fees? Did you take any particular loan for your course..orrr..?
I'm gonna be moving down south probably. Cause I want to go to a university north fo England - Hull, Manchester, Huddersfield, or Derby, Leeds..Strathclyde as a last resort.
But they want Journalism more than owt. I want creative writing, etc.
I've been told SAAS only applies to students studying in Scotland. Not anywhere else. I need to pay my tuition fees and living expenditure myself.
So..how do you lot it yourselves?

I pay pretty much everything myself from my SLC loan and the money I make working my holidays ... and live on very tiny amounts of money per week I have to admit
Hehe, Derby's hardly North
Check it out tbh.
Personally, I was in the last year to get the student grant (pittance, just about paid rent) and the rest was bank overdraft and thousands of pounds of student loans, which I shall be paying off for some time.
:eek2:
Where do you think Hull is then?
They're more northern than feckin' London, PUNK!
You tell 'em
I know where Hull is, I live umm...near you I should think.
Not exactly what I'd class as 'north' though
Then your sense of colloquial English geography is unbelievably screwed up.
The North starts at about Sheffield. Everything south of Sheffield to about Northhampton is Midlands (divided up into East and West, depending more or less on which side of Brum they fall). London area is London, until you're north of Watford, east of Reading, south of Croydon. And then the rest of it's the South.
All which means Hull is most defintely the North.
And Derby is well and truly Midlands.
i ought to admit i was wrong, but i won't
I'd need to take a loan through the bank to pay my tuition fees. Then that's before any student loan from the SLC.
I'll stick to Scotland, merci.
The guys Swiss and he knows more about UK geography than some of the natives, oh no!:(
i just always thought newcastle was north
never considered myself a northerner - possibly 'cause i've moved around a bit, who knows
