Teeth Whitening

Are there any good things, or things that work to get teeth white? I smoke like pack and a half a day and drink far too much coffee than is even comprehendable, and I soo don't have the money to go to the dentist and get them whitened that way. I use whitening toothpastes and that Simply White gel, but nothing really works. Any other ideas?

    Have you tried getting them polished at the dentist? Or you could get them bleached, i think you only have to have it done about twice a year but it costs alot! My sisters mates having it done and it's costing her bout £500.

    A polish at the dentists wouldnt clean the yellow tinge off the teeth, as it is stain not grime. A bleach would, but bleaching your teeth is VERY dangerous as it seriously weakens the tooth enamel, leading to weak teeth and tooth decay in later life. Basically, you might have nice shiny white teeth now, but youll be wearing dentures when youre 55.

    According to this specialist I went to see, I have the teeth/staining of a 40 year old.
    I'm now having my teeth bleached by the dentists...

    And **Barbie** it isn't costing me £500!! It's about £180.

    get a toothpaste that contains bicarbinate of soda this works a treat i used to have the same problem being a smoker and drinkin a far bit of coffee but its sorted me out now i smile like this :D

    Have you tried these? I`ve been told they`re good, but they`re not available over here. Grr.

    There's a new lazer whitening treatment just out which is apparently more effective and lasts longer. This typically costs about £500.
