Just wondering what uni's everyones starting at or are already at.

Where are you studying?
What course are you doing?
Are you looking forward to going (or going back)?
What year are you going to be in?
Do (will) you live at home or in halls etc?

Im starting uni a week on Monday, and I'm quite nervous but really excited! I'm going to Leicester to study Communications and Society, I'll be in my first year and I'm living at home.

So what about you?

I am at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh

Studying MA (Hons) Languages (Interpreting and Translating) - oooh doesn't that sounds posh? ;)

I can't wait to get back :hyper:

I'm going to be in final (4th) year though :nervous:

But I'll be living in Halls again, which is going to be just lovely. Ensuite, self catered, and in halls just for 4th years/postgrads, so should be a bit quieter :)

I'll be in York studying Politics BA (Hons.) :). Yeah, I'm looking forward to it although I'll probably get a bad case of the nerves nearer the time. I'll be a first year so am looking forward to all the fun of Fresher's Week! :hyper: I'll be living in Halls, where specifically I don't know yet, I should hear back from the accommodation office this week or next.

Are you looking forward to going (or going back)?
    - Yes; I'm now tired of being stuck at home with nothing to do, and I'm even missing doing work! (Probably the boredom). I'm also looking forward to going to a new environment, new city, etc - I'm not too apprehensive as I've been at boarding school for 10 years, so i'm used to being away from home, and I just feel its the right time for me to start University.

What year are you going to be in?
    - First year.

Do (will) you live at home or in halls etc?
    - Catered halls

faerielights, Geology has been my life-long passion (my nicknmae is Rocks, after all!), but they wouldn't let me do it as I didn't do a science for A-Levels. But i'll probably take it up as my extra modules. I really hope so anyway.

Also which Halls are you in? I'm in Dale Hall...

    Good forward planning there ;)
Theres still the Herdman. That should be fun. Try and get a place on the Freshers Field Trip if you can. It sounds funny and i know the person organising it, so it has to be (if he asks at least). They opened my letter with "This trip will not improve your knowledge of geology, but may show you it is possible to spend a day in the field with a hangover."

My sort of field trip :)

LOL, sounds good. Yeah, I really want to go on that (i take it you joined automatically through your department, so I'll have to join at the freshers fair I suppose). Sounds like my kind of field trip, defintely! Only prob is the geography department might be doing one - i think they said something about three weeks into it (ironically we go to the place my boarding house at school was named after).

    Where are you studying?
    University of Sheffield.

    What course are you doing?
Sociology BA Hons. Sociology is ace

Are you looking forward to going (or going back)?
Yes and no. I'm bored, so I wanna go and have some fun, work towards my future, learn more about a great subject, do something brand new, live in a new city etc.
On the other hand, I have money worries, not sure if I'll get on with the people I'm thrust upon, I'll be 21 so I fear age gaps. Plus there's all the stress and hassle of moving thrown in for good measure.
I'm moving in this saturday, so the fear is in effect, as well as the excitement. 2 days left

What year are you going to be in?
    First.

Do (will) you live at home or in halls etc?
    Self-catered flats.
