Heya, I've just decided after a large amount of persuading, to go to Uni.
I'm a D Grade student, with no "real" ambitions, just mere fantasies.
I don't know where to start, or where'll have me.

Help? Ilora x

    hey!

i too made a late decision and a few weeks ago i requested a ucas application form, filled it in, got a clearing entry form and have hopefully got a place at uni secured.

the bad thing is the clearing process finishes this saturday. have you any ideas about what course you want to do? if you've got d grades, you will probably be able to get into one of the former polytechnic unis. these are for those who don't get outstanding results, but would still love to enter into he. there's a list of these unis here - http://www.studentuk.com/cgi-bin/item.cgi?id=547&d=11&h=24&f=23&dateformat=%25o-%25B-%25Y#1, under the title of "crappy" unis which is totally, totally wrong  check out that list, see if anywhere appeals to you and if it does do a search for their website, see what clearing vacancies they have. you can also search for clearing vacancies at http://ucas.com/clearing/index.html

the bbc have a free telephone number you could call, its 0808 100 8000. they deal with questions and worries regarding clearing/going into higher education.

there is an awful lot to think about when you leave it late! feel free to ask me anything. there is also the head ache of tuition fees and student loans to think about - this website explains everything further http://www.dfes.gov.uk/highereducation/
