Oh this whole thing is quite off topic now and getting out of hand!

What is that wise old adage? Never talk about sex, politics or religon. I'm off for a few beers now! :p

    Hey Hobbs,

I'm so sorry to take so long to get back to you regarding the research that I mentioned in your above-named post.

Anyway, a lot of research has been done on the transexual brain but my main source is Professor Dick Swaab of the Netherlands Institute for Brain Research. I have included just a few of the MANY web pages that you can find on the subject :-

    http://www.gendertrust.org.uk/showarticle.php?aid=3

Also, read the transcript of a very recent BBC Horizon program that discussed the case of a boy brought up as a girl due to a botched circumcision (Swaab featured on there as well) :-

Anyway, I hope that you find at least some of this useful. :)

    Take care! ~Teagan

Just one small point - this really has gone off at a tangent, hasn't it?!

God sent His only son to die for us, thereby forming a new covenant. This meant that many of the old purity laws cease to be relevant. Example: We do not need priests to sacrifice goats as an apology for our sin (a goat cannot take death for a human, the ritual was merely symbolic) - we needed to substitute like for like. Therefore, Jesus (fully Man) took our punishment for us.

Are you with me? This is not very well explained, but bear with me! Some people see this as reasons to disregard pretty much all of Levit. and Deut. except the specific laws that Jesus himself mentioned in his teachings. If Jesus condemned homosexuality outright, it is not recorded in the gospels.

Some Christians look past the gospels (in a chronological sense) to Paul's letters (since "all scripture is God-breathed") and see that Paul does condemn homosexual relationships, therefore that law still applies.

Do you follow? Sorry, I'm not very good at explaining this and it's all a bit of a brain-strain as it is!

    Take care,
    Picc.

As you say, it has gone off on a tangent and is therefore irrelevant but I understand.

hmm not even a tangent anymore, the biblebashers are arguing for the sake of it now, and it werent talking about that originally

some groups of people just wont ever be accepted by other groups, a shame really because im sure looking past these differences, were all human and 'christians' are supposed to love eachother(in a non sexual happy way) or at least tolerate differences, its what makes life interesting even if you happen to not accept it

as i said before, love & respect, actually tolerance is the key

why cant we all be dutch. lol
