Seeking second opinions from doctors

Hi everyone, was wondering if anyone could help me (you're normally a very helpful bunch!). Basically, I've been suffering with some kind of arthritis for over a year, and my current consultant has been unable to diagnose exactly what it is, and therefore I haven't been able to get any treatment apart from anti-inflammatories (if it's something like rheumatoid arthritis it really needs stronger treatment). I was wondering whether it might be time to seek a second opinion, but I'm really unsure about whether I should. Basically, I don't want to jeapordise my relationship with my consutant since I guess I'd still be under their care after seeking someone else's opinion? I'm going to uni in september, but my consultant's advised that I stay under her care, so I really don't know what to do. It's not that I don't trust her, even though it's how it must sound, I'm just scared about what's happening, and desperate to stop any unneccesary damage. It's not affecting me realy seriously at the moment, but I know r.a can be really nasty, and I guess I'm scared it could get worse. Anyone help?

if you do go for a second opinion, i dont think your currant doctor will find out. also i think she will understand that you think its in your best interest to do it, and not take it personally:)

i would go for a second opinion, it cant do you any harm and it will also put an end to your worrying...

    good luck:)

Yes, get a second opinion. Its common practice and its a safer bet for both doctors. The consultant wouldn't and shouldn't mind. Plus if she is wrong, then its saved her from being sued.

I don't know what the problem is but i can give you some help.

For artheritis, take Pure Cod Live Oil. Not the tablets, take the oil in the bottle. Use the Seven Seas one with high Omega if you can. It'll taste disgusting but after two weeks, it'll be fine. Take 1 spoon at first and build to 2.

Yes its horrible, well its either that, or suffer in pain.

Also, you might want to search out the magic leaf. It grows in hot climates, tropical regions. I shit you not. I'm trying to find the name, but it cures cancer, gets rid of mosquito bites and cures injuries. I've used it and it works like hell, hence the name.

Don't bother asking the medical profession, bc they're not allowed to use it...not proven etc blah bla....

If she doesn't know, then ask her to send you to a specialist. I am sure she would.
