assist BBC producers and reporters, that
Israeli officials will not give interviews to
the British network, and that the Government
Press Office will make it difficult for BBC
employees to get press cards and work visas in
Israel.
This came about regarding a program and advertisements for the program about Isreal's non-conventional weapons capabilities.

A favourite trick of dictatorships and tyrants: suppressing media that reports unfavourable items. It is sad but somehow not surprising that the Israeli government is employing similar tactics.
The Israelis have an arsenal of between 80 and 200 nuclear warheads, as well as stockpiles of illegal-as-hell chemical and biological weapons. But perhaps the most disturbing issue is the reported research into an 'ethical' bomb, designed to target people of a certain race while sparing others. This sinister concept had already been looked up by Apartheid's South Africa.
The Israelis keep ignoring UN resolutions demanding access to such weapons, refuse to sign non-proliferation treaties, and are happy to assassinate, kidnap or imprison anyone who talks about the open secret that is Israel's arsenal of WMDs (deja vu anyone?). The BBC should consider itself lucky its journalists have not been thrown into a jail cell.
But don't expect youg kids with no comprehension of the reality of whats going on around the globe to believe that anyone the domestic media doesnt point out could possibly be doing more to undermine the peace and stability of the planet than those it does.
