Money or Your Wife?

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
My friend says he'd turned down a £60K a year job cos they wanted him to spend the first 6 months working far away (still in the UK) and he didn't want to be away from his wife ... if you were married and made that offer what would you do?

.. he's just bought a flat as well.. so didn't want to move.

i'd definitely choose my partner. I cant live without him, and money, although i'd like a little more, is no way near as important to me as he is. He can give me so much more than some extra cash could. I'd be bloody proud if that was my mate.

I'd take the job. But then I'm in a long distance relationship anyway so I'm used to it.

I think I would take the job and make sure the money was well spent on the family

    I'd choose the job.

It's only for 6 months afterall and it would benefit the family situation in the long term. And Im sure you could always visit at weekends and holidays.
