Orange b****rds!!!

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Orange (the mobile phone network) will now be chargind 12p per text message (starting May 1st).
I currently pay 5p per text message with my £50 voucher, but 12 is extortionate!!!

If they think I'm sticking with them, they could think again.
What network do you reckon I should go on now? I text quite a lot, much more than I actually talk.

Is this increase the same for all Orange users, irrespective of the packaged used?

Hehe, when I found out the same thing I changed straight away. I ordered a new phone from o2 on Sunday and it arrived this morning. I have been having great fun playing with it  :p

I got the phone free (Motorola V66i but there are others to choose from) and pay £20.00 a month. I get 500 free texts, 500 free offpeak mins to another o2 phone or landline and various other free things. I am pretty impressed to be honest.

    Woo.
    I'm with Orange.

But, thankfully, I manage to hardly ever use the damn thing.

    Which is nice.

Yes, all pay as you go customers at least.

I thought this thread was about Rangers fans at first :p

Luckily I've got a contract with Orange, so my prices stay the same.

If you don't like it you sould change, but tell them. I think a lot of people are changing. I personally have encouraged at least five people to change from Orange in the last 48 hours. Ok, so five people isn't a lot but if everyone does..... oh you get my point!

I used the £50 vouchers too.
I am not sticking with them tho, my dad is ordering me a new phone, luckily I am running low on credit, so I wont have loads left over to use up.
Ahh, nice luverly new phone on its way to me,
oh, and I am outraged at Orange for this, I have been a happy customer with them for 2 years, then thy screw it all up

I heard they were doing away with the husky Orange voicemail lady too

I'd rather have my testicles removed with a tin opener than pay 12p a text.

It's too late for me now anyway. The person arrived at my dads warehouse today and showed him all the phones. So my dad will have picked one (yes, we make the shops come to us, not us go to them :p ). Should be getting it some time soon
